ACORN Cup 2015: Third Round - Buenos Aires Region Zone B.
On Monday June 29th we held the Third Round of our annual interschool debating tournamente in English at St. Nicholas School, Olivos, Buenos Aires Province. Students aged 12-18 debated in the junior and senior categories representing their schools.

On Friday June 19th we held the Second Round of our annual interschool debating tournamente at Colegio FASTA San Vicente de Paul, in Mar del Plata City, Buenos Aires Province. Students aged 12-18 debated in the junior and senior categories representing their schools.
Primer Festival de Debate Senior en Español 2015.
El sábado 30 de mayo estudiantes de secundaria participaron del primer evento del calendario anual de debate en español. El evento tuvo lugar en el campus de la Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. Agradecemos a la Fundación Ambiente y Recursos Naturales que donó los premios para los finalistas.

On Tuesday May 26th we held the Second Round of our annual interschool debating tournamente in English at Oxford High School, Buenos Aires City. Students aged 12-18 debated in the junior and senior categories representing their schools.
On-site debate workshops at Instituto Nuestra Señora de las Nieves.
On Wednesday May 13th our Vice-president, Cristina Massa, provided a debating workshop for coaches and judges at the school in Liniers neighborhood, Buenos Aires City. This was followed by another workshop for over a hundred students provided on Friday May 22nd by Matias Werthein, member of our Coaching Sub-committee.

On Friday May 15th we held the First Round of our annual interschool debating tournamente in English at CEM Institute, in Mar del Plata City, Buenos Aires Province. Students aged 12-18 debated in the junior and senior categories representing their schools.
Selection Round - WSDC 2015, Singapore.
On Saturday May 9th at St. Catherine's Moorlands School we conducted the selection of the National Parliamentary Debate Team that will represent Argentina at the World Schools' Debating Championship 2015. Congratulations all students and their schools!

First Senior English Fest
On Saturday April 11th we held the First Senior English Fest of 2015 at the Universidad Austral - Campus Pilar. It was a huge event with over 70 enrolled students who came together to enjoy a day of debating. We thank Ediciones Abarcar for their continued support by donating the prizes for the finalists!
The motion for the final round was "This House believes that developing nations should prioritize economic growth over environmental concerns." (Video online)
First Adjudication Seminar 2015 - Buenos Aires
On Thursday March 26th we held the first Adjudication Seminar in Buenos Aires City at St. Catherine's Moorlands School - Belgrano. The seminar was provided free of charge for judges and coaches from all member institutions.
First Masters' Debate 2015. Saturday Feb. 28.
On Saturday we held the First Masters' Debate 2015 at Hexacta. The members of the Argentine National Debate Team that represented our country at the Pan-American Debating Championship 2015 showed off their skills and shared their experience in Los Angeles, U.S.A. in January.

We would like to deeply congratulate all of the Argentine students from Buenos Aires and Mar del Plata that represented our country at the Pan-American Debating Championship 2015, which took place in the city of Los Angeles, United States of America, from January 5, through January 12, 2015.
We are pleased to announce that, this year, Argentina reached the Semi-Finals of the Pan-American Debating Championship, and several of our speakers were awarded on their outstanding results! We are very proud of the excellent performance of our National Debate Team!
Additionally, we are pleased to announce that the Argentine Debating Association has been chosen by a majority vote to exercise the Vice-Presidency of the Pan-American Debating Association! This is an unprecedented achievement that recognizes the vital importance that Argentina has in the field of debating across the Americas.

We thank Instituto Nuestra Señora de las Nieves for hosting the round and our friends from Colegio del Carmen in Mendoza, who came to enjoy a day of debating with us!

On Friday May 15th our Head Coach provided a debating workshop for Senior students and coaches at Mar del Plata Day School, before the First Round of the ACORN Cup - Mar del Plata Region, Buenos Aires Province.
Seminario de Capacitación en Debate para Entrenadores y Jueces.
El lunes 11 de mayo se llevó a cabo el Primer Seminario de Capacitación en Debate en Español 2015 en la Escuela Argentina Modelo. El seminario estuvo orientado a profesores de diferentes disciplinas para enseñar, entrenra y juzgar debates parlamentarios. Los profesores participantes recibieron la validaciòn para oficiar como jueces en todos los eventos nacionales de debate.
Online debating workshop for Colegio del Carmen - San Rafael, Mendoza.
On Saturday May 2nd our Head Coach Ignacio Cortinez Furfaro and Chief Adjudicator Delfina Vildósola provided a debating workshop via Skype for Coaches and Teachers at Colegio del Carmen, San Rafael, Mendoza Province, in preparation for the upcoming online debates to be held between students in the Mendoza and Buenos Aires City regions.
Second Senior English Fest 2015 - Mar del Plata
On Saturday April 25th we held the Second Senior English Fest of 2015 at Mar del Plata Day School - Mar del Plata City. It was first debating event of the year in the region. Students came together to enjoy a great day of debating, sunshine and making friends!

On Tuesday April 21st our Chief Adjudicator Delfina Vildósola provided a debating workshop via Skype for Senior students at Mar del Plata Day School, in preparation for the upcoming Debate Fest to be hosted this coming Saturday in Mar del Plata city, Buenos Aires Province.
First University Debating Seminar and Fest
This weekend we held the First University Debating event of 2015 at the Universidad Austral - Campus Pilar. On Saturday we held a seminar for all debaters where we explained the rules of the British Parliamentary style, which is the format that has been adopted by tournaments such as World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC) and Campeonato Mundial Universitario de Debate en Español (CMUDE). On Sunday all students took part in a series of friendly debates in preparation for this years' national championship.
On-site Inter-school Debate Trainings Programme
On Wednesday April 1st we held a joint training session at St Nicholas' School. Students from both St. Gregory's College and Colegio San Tarsicio also attended the debate.

Our Head Coach Ignacio Cortinez Furfaro visited all of our member schools in the City of Mar del Plata and conducted a series of in-site training seminars for students and coaches.

It is with great pleasure that the Argentine Debating Association announces the incorporation to the National Debate Championships of the City of San Rafael, Province of Mendoza. We are delighted with the creation of the new "San Rafael - Mendoza Region", and we are positive that debate will reach every time more and more students in the area!
