ACORN & OAK Cups 2016 Buenos Aires Region Final and Prize Giving Ceremony ~Final y Entrega de Pr

On Friday November 18h the best teams from the Buenos Aires Region competed in the Grand Final of our annual interschool debating tournamente in English, held at Islands International School. Students aged 12-18 debated in the junior and senior categories representing their schools.

After the debates, the prize giving ceremony took place, recognizing the best speakers for both the junior and senior categories in the region.

We thank our hosts, Islands International School, for welcoming us at their new auditorium, all the independent judges who made this event possible, and specially Mr Patrick Cooper Diaz-Ufano, our guest judge and chair of the Oak Cup Final!

Congratulations! The Champions of the Buenos Aires Region 2016 are: Southern International School for the Acorn Cup (Junior Category) and St. Andrew's Scots School in the Oak Cup (Senior Category)! Many congratulations to such schools, their students and coaches!

El viernes 18 de noviembre los equipos de la Region Buenos Aires participaron en la Gran Final de nuestro torneo anual intercolegial en inglés, la que tuvo lugar en Islands International School. Estudiantes de entre 12 y 18 años debatieron en la categorías junior y senior representando a sus colegios.

Luego de los debates tuvo lugar la entrega de premios, en la cual se premio a los mejores oradores de ambas categorías en la región.

Agradecemos a nuestros anfitriones, Islands International School, por recibirnos en su nuevo auditorio, a todos los jueces independientes que hicieron posible este evento, y especialmente a Patrick Cooper Diaz-Ufano, nuestro juez invitado y presidente del panel en la final de la Oak Cup!

¡Felicitaciones! Los campeones 2016 de la Región Buenos Aires son: Southern International School por la Acorn Cup (Categoría Junior) y Escuela Escocesa San Andrés en la Oak Cup (Categoría Senior)! Muchas felicitaciones a dichos colegios, sus alumnos y entrenadores!
