ACORN Cup 2015 Mar del Plata Region Final and Prize Giving Ceremony ~ Final y Entrega de Premios de

On Monday November 16th the best teams from the Mar del Plata Region competed in the Grand Final of our annual interschool debating tournamente in English, held at CEM English Institute. Students aged 12-18 debated in the junior and senior categories representing their schools.
The motions for the round were:
Junior category:
- THW cretae the Province of the Atlantic Coast
Senior category:
- THBT tourism has done more harm than good to Mar del Plata.
After the debates, the prize giving ceremony took place, recognizing the best speakers for both the junior and senior categories in the region.
Congratulations! The Regional Champions of the Acorn Cup 2015 of the Mar del Plata / Atlantic Cost Region are: Mar del Plata Day School (Junior Category) and Colegio FASTA San Vicente de Paul Mdq (Senior Category)! Many congratulations to such schools, their students and coaches!
El lunes 16 de noviembre los equipos de la Region Mar del Plata participaron en la Gran Final de nuestro torneo anual intercolegial en inglés, la que tuvo lugar en el Colegio FASTA San Vicente de Paul. Estudiantes de entre 12 y 18 años debatieron en la categorias junior y senior representando a sus colegios.
Las mociones para la ronda fueron:
Categoria Junior:
- EC crearía la Provincia de la Costa Atlántica.
Categoria senior:
- EC considera que el turismo le ha causado más perjuicios que beneficios a Mar del Plata.
Luego de los debates tuvo lugar la entrega de premios, en la cual se premio a los mejores oradores de ambas categorias en la región.
¡Felicitaciones! Los Campeones Regionales de la Acorn Cup 2015 de la Región Mar del Plata / Costa Atlántica son: Mar del Plata Day School (Categoría Junior) y Colegio FASTA San Vicente de Paul (Categoría Senior)! Muchas felicitaciones a dichos colegios, sus alumnos y entrenadores!
