ACORN Cup 2015 Round 4 Mar del Plata Region ~ Ronda 4 de la Copa ACORN 2015 Region Mar del Plata

On Friday August 28th teams from the Mar del Plata Region engaged in the fourth round of debates for our annual interschool debating tournamente in English, held at CEM English Institute. Students aged 12-18 debated in the junior and senior categories representing their schools.

The motions for the round were:

Junior category:

- THW force all clothing brands to produce clothes in sizes adequate for people with obesity.

- THW close all junk food restaurants located near schools.

Senior category:

- THW prohibit all psychological therapies aimed at changing sexual orientation.

- THBT all children found begging or working in the streets should be taken away from their parents’ guardianship.

El viernes 28 de agosto los equipos de la Region Mar del Plata participaron en la cuarta ronda de debates de nuestro torneo anual intercolegial en inglés, la que tuvo lugar en el CEM English Institute. Estudiantes de entre 12 y 18 años debatieron en la categorias junior y senior representando a sus colegios.

Las mociones para la ronda fueron:

Categoria Junior:

- EC obligaria a todas las marcas de ropa a producir vestimentas en talles adecuados para gente con obesidad.

- EC cerraría todos los locales de comida chatarra unicados cerca de colegios.

Categoria senior:

- EC prohibiría todas las terápias psicológicas destinadas a cambiar la orientación sexual de los pacientes.

- EC considera que todos los niños que se encuentren mendigando o trabajando en la calle deberían ser removidos de la custodia de sus padres.
